With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Stanford University, Marcus integrates a unique understanding of social dynamics, cultural diversity, and human behavior into his work.

Additionally, he holds an English Teaching Credential from the University of San Diego, highlighting his advanced expertise in literacy instruction. With 8 years of experience, Marcus excels in designing and implementing targeted interventions for students facing executive dysfunction and foundational literacy challenges, including decoding difficulties, poor reading fluency, and struggles with written expression. He employs personalized, evidence-based strategies to help students overcome these obstacles and achieve significant growth in their literacy development.

His background as a collegiate athlete in both football and rugby has also honed his skills in leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration—qualities that enhance his role as a specialist in education, connecting him with many children who share their love for sports.

Outside of his professional work, Marcus loves exploring the outdoors as an avid hiker, often finding inspiration in nature. He’s also a foodie at heart, always eager to try new cuisines and experience different cultures. His sense of curiosity and love for exploring is something he shares with his students, encouraging them to embrace new experiences and diverse perspectives every day.
