Colleen Lavery, MA

Educational Therapist

With over 25 years of experience, Colleen is a trusted expert in helping children thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially. She holds a Master’s in Literacy Education from New York University and a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Northridge. Her career includes teaching and leadership roles in both public and elite private school settings, including The Horace Mann School in New York and Chadwick School in California.

Colleen’s approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and guided by a deep understanding of child development. As an Educational Therapist and Reading Specialist, she provides personalized, one-on-one support that targets core academic skills while nurturing confidence, resilience, and independence.

Parents often describe Colleen as both incredibly knowledgeable and deeply nurturing—someone who not only understands how their child learns, but who also brings out their confidence, joy, and sense of self.

We’re honored to have her on our team and excited for your family to experience her care. With Colleen, your child is not just taught - they’re understood, encouraged, and genuinely cared for.
